The Parish Clerk prepares the Agenda for each Parish Council Meeting, takes the Minutes and offers legal advice to the Councillors, if required.

The Clerk also acts as the liaison between North Yorkshire County Council, Scarborough Borough Council and other Agencies.

The Clerk is Heslerton Parish Councils ‘Responsible Financial Officer’ and is responsible for attending to the financial obligations of the Council reporting directly to the Parish Councillors.
